As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required by site-specific protocols.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to access control and site procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the technology and media environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual conditions or activities.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, access violations, and/or emergencies according to Allied Universal and client site requirements.
• Collaborate with site management and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and/or incidents.
• Participate in emergency response activities, including evacuations and lockdowns, as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
