As a Security Officer - Education Entry Control in Radnor, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent education-focused location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and assisting with visitor management to help maintain a secure environment. You will utilize technology such as computers, tablets, and alarm panels to support your daily tasks, while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. By maintaining a visible presence at the front desk, you will help to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, students, staff, and/or faculty at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence and responding to inquiries as needed.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of visitor check-ins, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by the site.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency response activities, following all site-specific guidelines and instructions.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with all individuals at the location, upholding Allied Universal's standards of customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
