As a Security Officer -  Distribution Center - Full Time in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. By maintaining a visible presence, you help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance to employees and visitors. You will also deliver exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and assisting with access needs in a professional manner. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Assist with visitor and vehicle management, maintaining accurate logs and records as required by site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting personnel and visitors in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when appropriate.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Follow all site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines to maintain a secure environment for personnel, property, and assets.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
