Job Description


As a Security Officer - Chemical Site - Access Control in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling access to critical areas. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding site protocols. This position requires driving responsibilities, so a valid driver's license in the job state is necessary. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures tailored to the needs of a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting employees, contractors, and visitors as needed.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific emergency procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma.
  • A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required for driving positions.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
