As a Security Professional – Government Site Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to support a sense of order, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. This position requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license in the job state is necessary. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public as needed.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with alarm panels, customer service, access control or badge systems, and comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
