As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol - Full Time in Staten Island, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. In this unarmed patrol position, you will be responsible for conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those in the community. This is a primarily driving post, where you will navigate the location to monitor for any unusual activity, respond to situations as needed, and offer exceptional customer service to all visitors and staff. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Work collaboratively with local authorities and/or emergency responders when required.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities and incidents encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and provide proof as required by the client.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements; this is primarily a driving post and driving experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
