As a Security Professional – Government Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, responding to alarms, and utilizing technology such as computers or tablets to support your duties. This role requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrols. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances within the location.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the job state for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
