Job Description:

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued member of Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location. In this patrol armed position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. This role requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is necessary. You will interact with the public and staff, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to various situations as they arise. Pay Rate: $26.81 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or security-related hazards, reporting findings according to established protocols.
• Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while upholding site-specific requirements.
• Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents at the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
