As a Security Professional Armed Driver in Clearwater, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared and equipped to handle a variety of scenarios while operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. SUMMARY: The Prisoner Transportation Officer is responsible for the safe and secure transportation of detainees from specified sites to designated points. The Inmate Transportation Officer is responsible for ensuring that the transportation vehicles are in safe and correct working order. The Inmate Transportation Officer is to ensure that they are in complete control of the transport vehicles at all times and that vehicles are operated in a safe and legal manner.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Inspect and prepare transportation vehicles for daily operation requirements; perform pre- and post-trip inspection of vehicles; fill out required paperwork to report any damage or defects

· Conduct pat-down searches of detainees; ensure that detainees are properly secured prior to leaving a facility, and while in a vehicle; ensure that all required paperwork is completed, accurately, and thoroughly when accepting detainees at a facility and delivering them to their appropriate destinations

· Safe operation of vehicles; ensure that all safety and legal measures are always followed while transporting detainees, including but not limited to all applications federal, state, municipal and organizational laws, regulations, policies and procedures

· Decision Making Authority –

· Independent - Respond to emergencies and make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

· Indirect - Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management. Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to established protocols.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents at the location.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on all security-related activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
