As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling access points. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help deter unauthorized activity, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. You will utilize your experience with access control systems and alarm panels to support a secure environment, while also leveraging your communication skills to address inquiries and provide guidance. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual activity observed during shifts.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support security-related operations and emergency response activities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
