As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol - Overnight Shift in Lancaster, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. In this armed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. Your responsibilities will include monitoring for unusual activity, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and professionalism. This post requires both armed and driving responsibilities, so you will be entrusted with upholding the highest standards of integrity and reliability while on patrol. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or security-related hazards, reporting findings according to established protocols.
• Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while upholding site-specific requirements.
• Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Pepper spray certification, armed guard card or license, and CPR certification are preferred qualifications.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
