As a Security Professional - Education Access Concierge in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and assisting with visitor management to help deter unauthorized entry and support a positive campus experience. You will provide exceptional customer service, respond to inquiries, and communicate important information as needed. This role is ideal for individuals who are attentive, personable, and committed to upholding Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity. Pay Rate: $16.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or entry.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activity, and/or emergencies according to site procedures.
• Assist with visitor management, including logging guests and providing directions or information as needed.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or more years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
