As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting security-related screenings to help to deter unauthorized entry. You will interact with a diverse range of individuals, providing outstanding customer service while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft attempts, or unusual behavior, to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
