Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Systems Analyst. The Security Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of our organization's physical security systems. This position involves evaluating, supporting, and continually improving digital tools within the corporate security department to ensure alignment with strategic business goals. The analyst will develop and automate reports, dashboards, metrics, and alerts to enable informed decision-making. Additionally, the role includes supporting physical security systems, SharePoint to Power BI conversions, programming, and data entry into various security systems.

 

Salary: $75,000 - $79,000

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand, develop, and enhance technical documentation to support system implementations and upgrades
  • Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and processes, translating them into functional specifications for IT solutions
  • Leverage Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents to develop and deploy business solutions
  • Support, evaluate, and continually improve digital tools within the client organization to ensure alignment with strategic business goals, including managing new and existing integrations
  • Enable the client corporate security team to make informed business decisions by developing and/or automating reports, dashboards, metrics, and alerts
  • Responsible for administration and management of security systems and technologies; develop and implement changes to enhance security measures and ensure optimal performance
  • Support SharePoint to Power BI conversions, programming, and data entry into security systems (Onguard, Milestone, Incident Management, Visitor Management)
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency system support on weekends

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a Security License (guard certification) issued by the state of Illinois
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IT security or system analysis
  • Minimum of two (2) years implementing and maintaining security systems in a corporate or industrial setting
  • Experience with incident response and vulnerability management
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of network protocols and security architecture
  • Ability to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Experience with SQL, Ignition, and Microsoft Power Platform
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Experience in the following languages: JAVA and Python
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest security trends and threats
  • Experience with penetration testing and ethical hacking
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in constructing databases and developing data pipelines
  • Experience in using complex queries to manipulate and analyze datasets with tools such as SAS, SQL Server, Hana, and DB2
