As a Security Guard - Education Patrol Specialist in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent educational location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the campus, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for educational environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for the educational community.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
• Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals as required by site policies.
• Support emergency response efforts by providing information, guidance, and assistance to first responders and campus personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
