As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Government Site in Bartow, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This armed post requires you to carry out your duties with professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility, while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a visible presence.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site procedures.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public, staff, and visitors at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
