As a Unarmed Security Officer- Access Control in Rock Hill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment at a women's shelter location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with residents, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of reliability, integrity, and teamwork. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and permissions for entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and residents to address questions and provide assistance as needed.
• Support a welcoming and orderly environment by following established protocols and maintaining a visible presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
