Job Description

As a Armed Security Flex Officer in Chapel Hill, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a financial institution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and be prepared to use authorized equipment as needed. You will interact with employees, visitors, and members of the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Saturday 6pm-6am and Other Shifts as Needed

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols for armed patrols, including proper handling and storage of assigned equipment.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
