As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrols in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will interact with a diverse range of individuals, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site protocols.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and healthcare staff to maintain a secure environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Availability across various days and shifts
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
