As a Security Officer - Swing Shift in San Mateo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading company in the tech, media, and telecom sector, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also be expected to provide outstanding customer service, respond promptly to incidents, and communicate clearly with both team members and the public. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
