As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site in Clearwater, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared to act with professionalism and integrity at all times. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or potential threats within the location.
  • Interact with visitors, staff, and/or the public in a courteous and professional manner while upholding security-related protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly communicate any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency response activities, following established procedures and protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or have an equivalent qualification. This requirement can be completed post hire.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the job state and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
