Job Description


As a Security Officer - Dispatch Specialist in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and coordinating security-related activities from a central command post. Your responsibilities will include managing communications, dispatching security personnel as needed, and utilizing technology to track incidents and respond promptly to situations. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and quick response, while also providing outstanding customer service to staff and visitors. This position requires driving responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage incoming calls, alarms, and/or radio communications to coordinate appropriate security-related responses at the location.
  • Dispatch security personnel to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
  • Document and report all incidents, activities, and/or unusual occurrences according to established procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or contractors with inquiries and access control procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and help to deter unauthorized activity through attentive monitoring and communication.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and Allied Universal management to support security-related operations and emergency response activities.
  • Follow all site-specific policies and procedures while carrying out dispatch duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
