As a Security Officer - Healthcare Screener Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors, patients, and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and assisting with access control procedures. You will remain visible and approachable, providing exceptional customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. This position requires strong communication skills and a professional demeanor, as you will be the first point of contact for many individuals entering the facility. Pay Rate: $17.15 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized access, following established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies and other urgent events.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
