Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting security-related screenings to help to deter potential incidents. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.15 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized access, following established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies and other urgent events.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to site procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and other personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment for all individuals at the location.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
