As a Security Professional - Patrol Tech/Media in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help prevent unauthorized activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will also interact with a diverse group of people, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while assisting with access control and monitoring entry points. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by location, especially within technology, media, and telecom settings.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
• Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with access and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support access control procedures and monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Participate in site-specific training and follow all Allied Universal and client protocols relevant to the technology, media, and telecom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
