Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Golden, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a prominent food and beverage location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry out your duties with professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility. You will interact with employees, visitors, and vendors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the food and beverage facility.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and/or disruptions at the location.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during critical situations.
  • Adhere to all firearm handling protocols as required for an armed post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
