As a Security Guard - Healthcare Site - Part Time in Nutley, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and patients, providing a welcoming and professional presence. Your primary responsibilities will include managing access control, verifying credentials, and monitoring alarm panels to help to deter security-related incidents. You will utilize computer or tablet systems to support daily operations and maintain detailed records, all while delivering exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence and professional customer service.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, visitor check-ins, and any security-related incidents.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site leadership regarding any unusual activity or emergencies.
  • Support security-related procedures and protocols specific to a healthcare environment, including handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, helping to coordinate with first responders and/or site personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
