As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol - Full Time in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment at a busy retail location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond promptly to situations as they arise, and use technology such as computers or tablets to document your activities. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site procedures.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any unusual behavior or circumstances.
• Collaborate with store management and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and promptly as part of daily duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the job state is preferred and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for primarily driving posts.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
