As a Security Professional - Cultural Patrol in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a respected cultural institution. Your primary responsibilities will include access control, monitoring entry points, and conducting routine patrols throughout the location. By remaining visible and attentive, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for visitors and staff. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures at the location.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activities within the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for cultural institution environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns and maintain a visible presence.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including guiding visitors and staff during incidents.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors and personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
