As a Armed Security Officer - Healthcare Site - Part Time in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This armed position requires a strong sense of professionalism and the ability to communicate clearly with both staff and visitors. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed patrol posts.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a visible presence.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related situations that may arise during patrols.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program. This requirement may be completed post hire.
  • Possess a valid corrections officer license.
  • Possess a valid law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
