As a Security Professional - Retail Site - Morning Shift in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in supporting a luxury retail environment by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, assisting with loss prevention efforts, and providing outstanding customer service to guests and staff. You will use your communication skills to address inquiries and help to deter security-related incidents, all while utilizing technology such as computers or tablets as needed. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors within the retail environment.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license in the job state is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
