As a Security Officer – Distribution Site - Full Time in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in supporting a logistics and distribution location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment for all personnel and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
