As a Security Professional - Patrol Unarmed in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a leading aerospace and defense location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. You will interact with access control systems, monitor alarm panels, and utilize technology such as computers or tablets to support your daily duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with access and information as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
