Job Description

$16.50 Per Hour 

 

Must have a current CA Guard Card with training certificates

Must have a valid CA DL with a clean driving record

 

Allied Universal® is hiring a Dedicated On Demand Officer. The Dedicated On Demand Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. A Dedicated On Demand Security Officer will be highly trained across multiple client sites and posts. The Dedicated On Demand Security Officer will work a limited number of permanent posts and have the flexibility and the autonomy to create their own schedule each week based on availability. This position allows the Dedicated On Demand Security Officer to receive additional training and exposure to a variety of security operations and work environments, while working closely with management to ensure consistent and reliable security coverage for our clients. As a Dedicated On Demand Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Logistics and Distribution, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to immediate security coverage needs across a dedicated network of client locations
  • Adapt to a variety of security operations and work environments
  • Utilization of technology platforms to effectively communicate with management and maintain weekly scheduling
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license if driving a company or client-owned vehicle
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • While prior security experience is a plus, it is not required
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations; handle multiple demands for priority

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
