As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting government operations by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for all individuals at the location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to everyone you encounter. This is an armed post, and you will be required to meet all armed guard card and licensing requirements. Additionally, this position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with Allied Universal's driver policy, as driving responsibilities are part of the role. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats within the government location.
• Interact professionally with the public, staff, and visitors while upholding Allied Universal standards.
• Assist law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
