As a Security Professional - Desk Patrols in Sunnyvale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and clients, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access control systems, verifying credentials, and responding to security-related incidents with professionalism and care. You will also provide exceptional customer service, assist with badge management, and communicate clearly with all individuals entering the location. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and employees in a professional manner while monitoring access to the location.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises, following site-specific policies.
  • Assist with visitor management, including logging guests and issuing badges as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding security-related matters as needed.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms, and report any unusual activity.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting with directions or information requests.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following site-specific procedures.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
