As a Security Professional - Armed Utility Patrol in Gibsonton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a utilities location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help discourage unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires you to be comfortable using technology such as computers or tablets to document your activities and observations. As this is an armed post, you will be expected to carry and maintain your weapon in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. If you meet the requirements for a valid driver's license under the Allied Universal Driver Policy, you may also be responsible for operating company vehicles during your patrols. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
• Work closely with Allied Universal management and client representatives to address security-related needs specific to a utility environment.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
