As a Security Professional - Access Control in Holland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage production location, you will play a key role in access control, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and assisting with any security-related concerns. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to company and client protocols.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding security-related matters as needed.
  • Support the maintenance of a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property within the food and beverage facility.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
