As a Security Officer - Elite Armed Retail in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. 

Location: Near Pleasanton Road 

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming environment at a bustling retail location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will interact with employees, visitors, and customers, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This is an armed post and requires a valid armed guard license and Level III Armed Certification. Additionally, this position requires a valid driver's license as you may be responsible for patrolling in a vehicle. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or hazards to the appropriate personnel and Allied Universal management.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
• Maintain a high level of awareness and readiness to respond to potential threats or emergencies within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree or 
• Minimum of five (5) years of employment in an armed security role or 
• Current employment with Allied Universal with a minimum of four (4) years armed experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a Level III armed certification for Texas roles only.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
