As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol - Overnight Shift in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all visitors and employees. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure atmosphere, while your strong customer service skills will help you address inquiries and provide assistance as needed. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible throughout the location, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
