As a Security Officer - Retail Patrols in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a high-end retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming presence for guests and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedules: Sunday - Thursday 7am - 3:30pm OR Friday - Monday 7am - 3:30pm OR Sunday - Thursday 10:30pm - 7am

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or hazards to management and/or law enforcement as required.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining awareness of merchandise and customer interactions.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to address questions or concerns.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• New Jersey Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
