As a Security Officer - Front Desk - Overnight Shift in Plymouth, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Your role involves monitoring entry points, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related incidents as they arise. You will help to deter unwanted activity by maintaining a professional presence and utilizing technology such as computers or tablets. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and contractors at the front desk, providing a professional and courteous first point of contact.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and credentials, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of visitor and contractor activity, as well as any security-related incidents.
  • Communicate with site management and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Support the implementation of security-related procedures specific to a manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions or information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
