As a Security Officer - Armed Medical Facility in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer at this shelter location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves engaging with individuals on site, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining open communication. This is an armed post, and may require driving as part of your duties. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter location and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order within the shelter environment.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or maintenance needs observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with shelter staff and local authorities as required to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards or risks within the shelter location and respond according to established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Texas Armed Security Guard License and Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must have an Armed Designation and be able to carry a sidearm as required by the post.
  • Must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal's driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal Security will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Must participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
