As a Armed Security Officer - Healthcare in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer at this shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter location and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding site-specific protocols.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents that may arise within the shelter environment.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Hold a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
  • Texas Armed Security Professional Guard Card is mandatory. 
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
