As a Armed Security Officer - Elite in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming environment for customers and staff. This armed post requires you to respond promptly to incidents, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with all individuals on site. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or alarms as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • You must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • You must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
  • You must have a Level III armed certification if applying for positions in Texas.
  • You must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military experience, or possess a college degree or 5+ years of Armed Security experience. 
  • You must have a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal's driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal Security will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
