As a Security Professional - Hospital Patrol in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. This role requires you to interact professionally with staff and visitors, contributing to a secure and welcoming environment.

Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions within the location, maintaining detailed and accurate records as required.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and information, contributing to a welcoming and orderly environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to address incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
