As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol - Weekends in Lexington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to guests and staff. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the property by vehicle as well as on foot. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any concerns related to theft or property damage.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while performing assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • South Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
