As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol - Afternoon Shift in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a leading utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, interacting with staff and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the utility facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the utility location.
  • Support emergency response efforts and coordinate with local authorities as required.
  • Document observations and incidents according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred for this position.
  • A Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred for armed roles.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles and 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
