Position Overview: Read Thoroughly!

  • We are hiring for 2 Full-time OVERNIGHT Security Officers for a data center in Council Bluffs, IA.
  • You will undergo training in numerous positions to uphold the facility's security by verifying the identification of visitors, vendors, and contractors while conducting regular foot patrols across the property.
  • This position necessitates meticulous attention to detail, physical endurance, and a strong dedication to safety and security protocols.

 

Job Details:

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Schedule: Must be able to work overnight shifts (Previous overnight experience is REQUIRED)

 

Duties:

Foot patrols and Access Control. Video Surveillance & badge creation.

 

Qualifications / Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Required to work for multiple clients at multiple locations; covering special projects, call offs, vacations and open shifts
  • Must be available to work any time and day Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
  • Able to: Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
