As a Security Officer - Patrol - Financial Institution in San Mateo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a sense of order while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in every interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the location.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential risks to help to deter unwanted incidents within the premises.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and other personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• California Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
